A recognition

Sunday, June 11th, 2006

This weekend I took part in a season-ending ceremony/party of the Kalev chamber choir. I’ve sang there nor for three years and this was my last event with the choir for at least the next coming three years. The event took place in a little town called Haapsalu, where our conductor (Erki) has a huge […]

I wached a movie

Monday, June 5th, 2006

It was called "I heart huckabees". I think that was a good movie, although, I’m afraid that I need to watch it for at least second time, to catch more of its essence. But still, I would recommend this movie to those who sometimes think of themselves as lost, stressed out, an empty place… This […]

And now for something completely different

Tuesday, May 30th, 2006

Here’s a picture of me, taken some 10 days ago in Finland. I had one training in Finland - with 25 other people from all around Europe, we got kidnapped, car-jacked, had lessons on 4W-drive, slept in tents, sang too much karaoke and had sauna for too many times (read: hence, we obviously drank (a […]

Today’s key words

Friday, May 26th, 2006

I graduated today from the MA programme.
But still, can anybody tell me where I could find a life from?

An old thing

Sunday, May 14th, 2006

Did you know that George in Estonian is JÜRI emoticon? Well, for my b-day I got also free tickets for a fare "Motorex", which was supposedly (according to the ads) the biggest, greatest, most innovative of all the times … in the Baltic states. I decided to see what people saw in this event and […]

I’ve almost graduated from the MA programme

Wednesday, May 10th, 2006

The only thing that I have left now, is to go to the graduation ceremony as today I presented my MA thesis before a commission and they evaluated my work as 4 which means very good (the maximum would have been 5 - excellent). I’m absolutely pleased - NO MORE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!

Some recollections

Monday, April 17th, 2006

I just had a party at my home - lasted until 6 am. Should I be proud of that… Well, kind of. Though, we ended up quarrelling about the distinction of amateur and professional arts. But it was definitely a fun night.
And I got lots of presents, gift certificates of one bookstore, a statue of […]

Apologies, apologies

Sunday, April 2nd, 2006

I haven’t written anything for some time… And I don’t apologise for that. Life is simply taking its share.
Now, a little overview of my past doings. A couple of weeks ago, just before going to Stockholm, during one weekend I was in a little place called Kolga with some 25 other singers - the choir […]

Things you shouldn’t do

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

I just added one thing to my list - do not leave a business card to the pocket of your shrit when you wash it. Especially, when you really need the card.

A pen

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

I should write about my trip to Stockholm… But I won’t do it. Instead, I’ll share the 27 minutes that I just had. I was just surfing the internet for some stuff that I need when I heard soft knocks on my door. It was a ca 40-year-old woman, who asked me if I was […]

Thinking

Tuesday, March 7th, 2006

I’m thinking… Well, I started to think of what Matt said: It’s sad that only can depend on you to make your life happy, no?
And I thought that yes and no. Yes, as it’s good if you have someone besides you who really does understand you and by that lives through also your happiness. Well, […]

Satisfaction

Sunday, February 26th, 2006

Today was a good day. I reinvented the wheel - after some work with my MA thesis, I went to one bar and took out a notebook to write down thoughts that just had to be put on a paper. I was thinking of a violin that I got just couple of days before and […]

A music and an idea

Monday, February 20th, 2006

If I may, I’d like to suggest you a CD - Walk the line soundtrack. It’s the best thing that I could listen to right now. If you have seen the movie, you’d understand what I’m thinking of.
But now the idea - I’m absolutely confident that there are just three people reading my blog. […]

I feel good, dadadadadadadaa, I feel good…

Sunday, February 5th, 2006

It’s the third time I’m trying to post this message - so, I’m starting to feel less good :)
Well, I just got back from a nice walk in the old town - it’s around -12 outside and very beautiful. The cold seems to change the colours - I think it makes them more clear and […]

It’s not funny any more

Saturday, January 21st, 2006

I just came from a trip to Vienna and Budapest. When I left Tallinn, the temperature was around zero. Yesterday night, while taking a cab from the airport to home, I saw one sign showing -21. What does it really mean - well, one waterpipe in my flat is still frozen, the TV remote seems […]

Rock-musical “Blonds will die out”

Saturday, January 7th, 2006

Some time ago, I mentioned that I took part in a musical. I guess, you didn’t believe it, but now you’ll have to think again. Here are the photos of our third and final performance on Dec 30, 2005. Pictures are taken by Alar Mäerand.

The year 2005

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

It’s already the third day of year 2006… and almost a good time to reflect, what happened to me and what I made happen during the last year. I guess, my small overview would be a bit more adequate if I wrote it later, when I had thought about the year in more depth. Well, […]

A week ago - concert

Saturday, November 19th, 2005

A concert with a twist
Last Saturday our choir had an absolutely unconventional concert - each song we sang, had its own twist. We started with one choir piece that every Estonian knows and instead of announced conductor one choir singer started to conduct it while the announced conductor was still bowing to the audience. Then […]

A musical

Thursday, November 10th, 2005

As I wrote in the last posting, our choir is a very active one - in the end of December we will become famous all over the world - with our musical called "All blonds will die out". The performances will be on Dec 29 and 30. If you are interested, let me know - […]
